Ely is a cute town 15 minutes away from Cambridge by train, perfect for a day trip. Sure, the Ely Cathedral was impressive, but what I liked the most about the town was its contrast – the lively vibe in the streets and markets in the town centre compared with the quiet, serene parks and riverside.
