My strolls around the small university community of Louvain-la-Neuve usually ended up in the area around the lake, where on an unusually warm day that almost felt like summer, lots of people were out and enjoying the sunshine. One learns very well to take advantage of every ray of sunshine in Belgium, where rain often fell. Of course, the 21-degree-Celsius temperature that day dropped to 12 degrees the next day, and I wondered if spring was just an illusion…
