Cinque Terre, Italy, taken on November 2, 2013
When I visited Cinque Terre, Italy, I was determined to do the entire hike between the five villages – but unfortunately, only the stretch between Monterosso and Vernazza were open to the public at the time 😦 And that was enough, really. It took my friends and I around 2 hours to get from Monterosso to Vernazza, climbing steep steps and crossing heavily forested areas and ravenous when we stepped into Vernazza. What for, other than the stunning view of the villages from the top of the mountains and for the food that awaits? With this reward in mind, we charged onward to conquer the hill between us and Vernazza, shown here. Maybe another hour or so to go from this point onward? 😛
The Cinque Terre has my heart!

We did 3 villages a few years ago – sadly I didn’t even have a camera at the time. Gotta go back!! And BTW it was about 8 million degrees that day !

We went in November and was lucky that it didn’t rain that day 😛 I would love to go back and do the entire hike!
