Trees are amazing things. At the end of my walk in the Edwards Gardens in Toronto last year, I saw this beautiful thing standing on the side of the path on a small hill. This is the most gorgeous tree I’ve seen in my life, so gorgeous that I thought it was fake at first. It almost seemed sculpted, polished, intentionally made to look so sturdy and so majestic. It wasn’t very tall and the trunk wasn’t the largest, but it gave off an aura of strength and wisdom, as if it’s endured so much during its lifetime that nothing could ever possibly knock it down.
