Bordeaux, France, taken on September 12, 2011
The rule of thirds is perhaps the first rule that I’ve ever learned when I decided to take photography a bit more seriously. I still use it quite often in my shots, but not exclusively as it limits creativity and range of composition. I think when I composed this shot of the moon above the Place de la Bourse in Bordeaux, I must have intentionally had the rule of thirds in mind.
Lovely capture and perfect illustration of the rule.
