Lourdes is one of the world’s most well-known sites of Catholic pilgrimage, and being only 15 minutes away from Tarbes, it was an easy side trip. The only thing is…it rained hard all day. Bah. The city was covered in gray, yet the huge gilded crown and cross on the Rosary Basilica overlooked Lourdes with brilliance. What contrast!
