Beach time! In my two years of “temporary” residence in Bordeaux, today was the first time I visited Dune du Pilat (or Pyla), the largest sand dune in Europe. I really think photos of the dune don’t justify how gigantic it really is – my sister and I got a thorough work-out just climbing that thing! We chilled at the beach and played in the water for a little while. Good ol’ Atlantic Ocean! I still prefer Wasaga beach or any freshwater beach though. Getting salt water into my mouth wasn’t exactly the best experience in the world! 😦
