May 13, 2012 – Vineyard

A view of a vineyard in the St.Emilion area in Gironde, France. St.Emilion is a historic town about 45 minutes away from Bordeaux by train, and is one of the most famous wine-making regions in the country. I went today for the fourth time and the scenery never ceases to put me in awe.

  1. I love this picture. I live to the North of Gironde in Charente Maritime. I am taking pictures each week of Cognac vines. With all the sun and rain they are growing very fast at them moment.

    1. Thanks for the comment! There’s certainly been a lot of rain within the past month but I’m glad the sun is back! Charente Maritime, that’s where La Rochelle is, right? I was gonna go there last weekend, actually, but due to changes in planning I went to Sarlat and St.Emilion instead. Really would love to visit La Rochelle though!!
